A project office has been established in Belarus for the purpose of developing the country's export. The relevant decision is stipulated by the prime minister's executive order No. 505p of 21 November 2016, the press service of the Belarusian government told BelTA.
The project office has been established to improve the financial and legal base for developing Belarus-Russia foreign trade, including with third countries. The office will be run by First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Vasily Matyushevsky.
The project office includes representatives of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus, Belvnesheconombank, OAO Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus, the export and import insurance agency Eximgarant of Belarus, the Finance Ministry, the Economy Ministry, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in addition to representatives of the Permanent Committee of the Union State of Belarus and Russia in Minsk.
The project office has been instructed to work out proposals to increase Belarus-Russia trade and proposals to encourage export to third countries. If necessary, the project office will request assistance from heads and specialists of central government agencies and other state organizations accountable to the government, from municipal government agencies, and other organizations.
