The Postavy region is renowned for its rich musical traditions. In 1992 Postavy became a venue of the national music folk festival and in 1996 – the international folk music festival The Sounds of Dulcimer and Accordion.
On September 2-3, 2006 the Postavy region hosted Day of the Belarusian Written Language.
