The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB) and the Russian national research center Kurchatov Institute intend to step up cooperation in key areas of science, representatives of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus told BelTA.

Air China is set to resume its service to Minsk on 1 July, BelTA learned from Minsk National Airport.

Flights from the Belarusian capital to China will be operated on Fridays. Airbus A-330 will arrived at Minsk Airport at 17.25, with return flight scheduled for 19.35.

According to Minsk National Airport, before the hiatus the flight took place on 25 March.

The interregional cooperation between Belarus and Russia is taking on new significance in today's conditions, Chair of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly Natalya Kochanova said at the plenary session “The role of interregional cooperation in deepening the Union State integration processes” at the 9th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia in Grodno on 1 July, BelTA has learned.

An agreement to open two new technology and innovation support centers was signed in Grodno, BelTA has learned. The centers will operate at Yanka Kupala Grodno State University and Grodno State Agrarian University. “Quite a number of technology and innovation support centers have opened in Belarus recently. Two new ones will be launched in Grodno. These are very convenient platforms for supporting people engaged in creative activities and inventions,” said Armen Azizyan, Vice-President of the Eurasian Patent Office of the Eurasian Patent Organization.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Uzbekistan Leonid Marinich took part in the solemn ceremony of presenting diplomas to the first graduates of the Uzbekistan-Belarus faculty Innovative Pedagogy at Nizami Tashkent State Pedagogical University, BelTA learned from the Belarusian embassy in Uzbekistan.

The State Security Committee of Belarus (KGB) has added Sergei Tikhanovsky to the list of individuals who are involved in terrorist activities, BelTA learned from the KGB website.

The list includes a total of 870 natural persons.
