Lukashenko plants first tree in People’s Unity Park

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko planted the first tree in the People’s Unity Park during the national subbotnik (clean-up day) on 12 April, BelTA has learned.

Aleksandr Lukashenko and student construction brigades will plant an alley of 80 trees symbolizing the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The president planted the first tree and conducted a workshop on planting. Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that the people working with him are skilled in everything: planting trees, mowing grass, chopping wood.
