Together for Safety
As of April 12, 2021, 18 fires occurred in the Postavy district (+3 compared to the same period in 2020), resulting in 2 deaths (+1 compared to the same period in 2020).
To enhance public safety, intensify fire prevention efforts, analyze their effectiveness, and assess the readiness of territories for the spring-summer fire-hazardous period, a national campaign to prevent fires and deaths from them in residential areas, "For Safety Together," will be held in the Postavy district from April 12 to April 28, 2021.
The campaign aims to reduce the number of fires caused by citizens' non-compliance with fire safety rules in residential buildings and structures, settlements, and territories, including rural areas, to raise public awareness of the capabilities of state organizations in providing fire safety services, to strengthen law and order, and to prevent offenses committed by citizens under the influence of alcohol.
During the campaign, as part of the daily work of inspection commissions in the Postavy district, the public will be further informed about the state of fire safety and citizens will be explained the consequences of non-compliance with fire safety rules, leaving children unattended, and alcohol abuse.
Particular attention will be paid to improving the level of fire protection in homes and apartments of socially vulnerable categories of citizens.
