Drivers in Belarus must use dipped headlights during the day from August 25 to September 5

On August 25, the Ministry of Internal Affairs' special comprehensive event "Attention - Children!" will commence nationwide. During this special event, vehicles must operate with dipped headlights on during daylight hours to attract the attention of children and all road users.

The campaign will begin in anticipation of the new academic year. Public safety police officers, educators, and parents will combine their efforts to ensure children's safety. A series of preventive measures for children and adolescents are planned.

Particular attention will be focused on preventive work with parents. Police officers will visit workplaces, explain to adults the causes and consequences of road accidents involving children, remind them of the rules for safe transportation of minors, responsibility for traffic violations, and the need for personal example of correct and safe behavior on the road.
