Together against illegal alcohol!
Combating drunkenness and alcoholism, as well as the illegal trafficking of alcohol, alcohol-containing, and alcoholic products, is one of the priority tasks of internal affairs bodies, as these phenomena are at the root of domestic crimes, pose a real threat to the life and health of our citizens, and hinder the cultural development of society.
Practically every third crime in the region is committed by individuals who were intoxicated. Almost half of alcohol consumption cases end in family quarrels. More and more often, this harmful addiction ruins women and teenagers.
The harm of alcohol to the human body can reach impressive scales. A drinking person puts physical and mental health at risk. Internal organs suffer, the work of vital systems controlling the human body is disrupted, and personality degradation occurs due to the impact on the human nervous system. The effect of alcohol on the body affects: the liver, brain, nervous system and psyche, cardiovascular system, kidneys, digestive system, immune system, and other organs.
It should be noted that poisoning with alcohol surrogates occupies a leading position in the statistics of all intoxications. Poisoning with alcohol surrogates that do not contain ethanol develops after ingesting methanol, as well as brake fluid and de-icers based on ethylene glycol. Methyl alcohol is contained in car windshield washer fluid and solvents. The particular danger of methanol is due to the fact that its smell and taste are indistinguishable from ethyl alcohol, which is why cases of its internal consumption occur.
Employees of internal affairs bodies constantly carry out a set of measures aimed at suppressing and seizing alcoholic and alcohol-containing products from illegal circulation.
We remind you that in case of detecting facts of illegal sale of alcoholic beverages by citizens, you can always contact the Internal Affairs Directorate hotline for combating illegal trade in alcohol-containing products at 8 (0212) 60-86-72.
