Turn on your low beams! From August 25 to September 5, the State Automobile Inspectorate is conducting the special comprehensive event "Attention – Children!"

Due to the end of summer holidays and in anticipation of the new academic year, a special set of measures "Attention – Children!" will be held by the State Automobile Inspectorate on the territory of the Republic of Belarus from August 25 to September 5. During this period, drivers are obliged to drive with their low beam headlights on. Failure to comply with this traffic rule entails administrative liability in the form of a fine of up to 2 basic units.

The purpose of this event is to prevent child road traffic injuries, instill in young road users safe behavior skills on the road, and draw the attention of drivers, parents, and educators to the problem of child injuries.

Dear adults, if you see children playing on or near the roadway, do not remain indifferent; admonish the children and try to take measures to isolate them from traffic. Parents, be especially careful with toddlers and preschoolers on the street; do not leave them unattended. Remember that even one wrong step by a child on the roadway can lead to misfortune. Every time your child leaves home, take the time to remind them of the simple rules of behavior on the street. Be an example for children in observing traffic rules.
