Vitebsk Customs: "Flowers of Memory" on the eve of the Department's Formation Day
On the eve of its formation day and the mournful date – the Day of Remembrance for the Victims of Burned Villages, the leadership of Vitebsk Customs, together with representatives of the Vitebsk branch of RUE "Beltamozhservice", honored the memory of the victims of the genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War.
At the memorial complex "5th Regiment", flowers were laid as a sign of deep respect and eternal memory of the tragic events. This date symbolizes national sorrow and a reminder of the cruelty of the punitive forces who turned more than nine thousand villages on Belarusian soil into ashes. Many settlements never revived, remaining only names on granite slabs.
The "Flowers of Memory" campaign emphasizes the importance of preserving historical memory and the unacceptability of repeating such tragedies. For Vitebsk Customs, this event became not only a tribute to the innocent victims but also a symbol of fidelity to duty, responsibility, and patriotism, especially significant on the eve of its own professional holiday.
Eternal memory to thousands of innocent victims.
