A child died in a fire in Zhlobin

On May 03, 2022, at 07:28, the rescue service received a fire report via "101" at an apartment located at: Zhlobin, Microdistrict No. 3.

Upon arrival of EMERCOM employees at the scene, it was established that there was heavy smoke in the apartment on the seventh floor, but no open flames were observed. The owner, born in 1980, lives with his wife, born in 1995, and 3 children. According to neighbors, the family is positively characterized.

As a result of the fire, property in the room (sofa and bedding) was damaged, and the walls and property inside the apartment were covered in soot.

Rescuers found a nine-year-old boy with psychophysical developmental features behind the bed on the floor in the children's room. The child was carried outside and handed over to ambulance workers, who performed resuscitation measures.

On 04.05.2022 at 20:50, the boy, born in 2013, died in a healthcare institution from burns and smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire is being established. The considered version of the fire's cause is children's mischief with fire.

Under no circumstances leave children unattended, especially preschoolers and primary school children. Try to foresee, prevent danger, offer help in time, or stop them from making a wrong step.
