A forage harvester caught fire in Postavy District

On October 19, at 13:48, rescuers received a report about a forage harvester catching fire near the village of Kharki, Postavy district.

Upon arrival of the Postavy District Department for Emergency Situations units, open burning of a KVK-800 harvester, belonging to the agricultural enterprise "Dunilovichi-Agro", was observed. Before the arrival of the Ministry of Emergency Situations units, the harvester driver attempted to extinguish the fire independently using a fire extinguisher, but failed to cope with the task.

As a result of the fire, no one was injured, and it was extinguished by rescuers. The fire damaged the cabin, engine compartment, and wheels of the harvester.

An investigation is underway into this incident, and the cause of the fire is being established. A short circuit in the harvester's electrical wiring is being considered as a possible cause.
