A person lost in the forest was found in Postavy district

On August 14, at 9:40 AM, the operational control center of the Postavy District Department for Emergency Situations received a report that a woman born in 1986 was lost in the forest near the village of Butsevichi, Kamai rural council, Postavy district.

The woman independently called rescuers and said that while picking berries, she got carried away and did not notice that she was lost. Although the amateur forest gatherer heard the sound of nearby roads, she could not get out of the forest, as there were deep canals around.

A unit of fire and rescue station No. 1 of the Postavy District Department for Emergency Situations was immediately dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, rescuers Savchuk Nikita Ivanovich and Bobrovich Dmitry Iosifovich turned on the sirens and, having oriented themselves on the ground, began searching for the woman. After some time, the woman was found and did not need medical assistance.

As the lost woman herself said, early in the morning she went into the forest to pick berries and got lost. After some time of unsuccessful attempts to get out of the forest, she called the rescuers. Fortunately, her phone was with her and charged.
