The district stage of the "School of Safety 2024" competition was held in Postavy, where the best of the best safety experts were identified.
Determining who knows fire safety rules best is not an easy task, but it is solvable. Every year, students from Postavy engage in an intellectual battle to find out who is the most knowledgeable in life safety. The competition consisted of three challenges: "Testing," "I will tell you...", and "My Game." At the beginning of the challenges, the jury was announced, headed by Dmitry Aleksandrovich Guzyakov, the First Deputy Head of the Postavy District Department for Emergency Situations.
The first and most nerve-wracking stage was "Testing." Many encountered this type of knowledge assessment for the first time, yet participants showed no lack of confidence in their knowledge. Although the questions were not the easiest, it was important to remember that time was limited to 30 minutes. And in case of equal scores, the one whose work was completed earlier would take precedence.
The second stage also kept participants on edge and was called "I will tell you...". The stakes of this competition were high – increasing the likelihood of reaching the final. Students were given topics and exactly one minute to elaborate on the topic and demonstrate their oratorical skills through a clear, concise presentation. While testing was straightforward, with a clear question and a definite answer, the second competition made it difficult to identify the most creative and deserving candidates for the final challenge. Each participant discovered new, previously unknown presenter qualities within themselves, which, combined with a sincere sense of gratitude to the rescuers and other artistic skills, helped them overcome their competitors.
The result of the two competitions was 3 finalists in each age group. In the final challenge, the experts had to choose a topic and the difficulty of the question, which determined the safety experts.
Slobodianyuk Valeria, Kozlovich Egor, and Manushina Ksenia will represent the Postavy district at the regional stage of the "School of Safety" competition. Dmitry Aleksandrovich wished the finalists success and presented them with well-deserved diplomas and prizes.
