Traffic police inspectors will pay increased attention to the observance of traffic rules by pedestrians, as well as by drivers who often fail to yield to pedestrians at uncontrolled pedestrian crossings, thereby violating the requirements of clauses 116, 9.9 of the Traffic Rules.

To avoid tragedies on streets and roads, we remind you that pedestrians should walk on sidewalks, and where there are none, on the shoulders. Cross the roadway at pedestrian crossings, and where there are none, at intersections along the lines of sidewalks and shoulders. Special caution should be observed when bypassing stationary vehicles and other obstacles that restrict the view of the roadway.

Impeccable knowledge and strict observance of traffic rules by pedestrians and drivers are the key to their own safety.
