Rescuers found the body of a man while extinguishing a house fire in the Postavy district

On September 28, at 18:20, rescuers received a report of smoke in a house on 17 Sentyabrya Street in the urban settlement of Voropaevo, Postavy District.

Upon arrival of the Ministry of Emergency Situations units at the scene, smoke was observed in the house. At that time, its owner, a man born in 1981, was inside the dwelling. During the firefighting operation, his body was found on the floor in the room by employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The fire damaged the bed and bedding in the room. An investigation is underway into this incident, and the cause of the fire is being established. The version being considered is careless handling of fire by the deceased while smoking.
