Stop - drugs!

Today, a set of preventive measures aimed at countering illicit drug trafficking, including among young people, was launched in the republic.

Special control is exercised over individuals who use narcotic drugs without a specialist doctor's prescription and those previously convicted of drug-related crimes. Police officers will conduct raids on entertainment venues and youth recreation areas.

Law enforcement officials will pay particular attention to teenagers under 16 years of age who are outside their homes without adult supervision at night. They will check retail outlets for the sale of alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, and electronic smoking systems to minors.

The events will last until December 22.
