Physical culture, health-improving and mass sports work in the Postavy district is organized and carried out in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Belarus "On Physical Culture and Sports", the State Program "Physical Culture and Sports", the regional program of the Vitebsk region, and the district complex of measures for the implementation of the State Program "Physical Culture and Sports".

Since January 1, 2020, all mass sports and physical culture and health-improving work in the district has been supervised, organized and carried out by the Sports Department of the Postavy District Executive Committee (hereinafter – the Department).

The structure of the Department includes:

• State Institution "Postavy Physical Culture and Sports Club";
• Institution "Children and Youth Sports School of Postavy" (hereinafter – CYSS);

The Sports Department is a legal entity, carries out its activities in accordance with the Regulations on the Department, ensures the implementation of a unified policy in the field of physical culture and sports in the region, exercises control in this area of activity and is responsible for the implementation of its assigned functions.

The organization of physical culture, health-improving and mass sports work among the population at their place of residence is entrusted to the State Institution "Postavy Physical Culture and Sports Club".

The club's sports facilities include:

1. Physical Culture and Health Complex on Sovetskaya Street in Postavy, which has: a city stadium, a game hall, a gymnastics hall, a gym, a rehabilitation center, a billiard room, and accommodation rooms.
2. Physical Culture and Health Complex on Stankevich Street in Postavy, which includes: a gym, a swimming pool, a rehabilitation center.
3. Physical Culture and Health Complex on Shkolnaya Street in Voropaevo, which has game, gymnastics, gym, tennis, billiard halls and accommodation rooms.
4. Sports and recreation facility on Leninskaya Street in Postavy (part of the former building of basic school No. 5) with a 32*18 m game hall, changing rooms, storage rooms, and other facilities necessary for sports events. A sports and tourist equipment rental point is also located here.
5. Sports and Tourist Complex "Ozerki".

The club organizes and conducts classes in 5 sports areas: volleyball; football; swimming; aqua aerobics; therapeutic swimming.

Information about paid services provided to the public and sports events is broadcast on Postavy Television and Radio, published in the district newspaper "Postavsky Krai", on the official website of the Postavy District Executive Committee, and on the sports department's website.

The Sports Department is actively implementing the "Ozerki Sports and Tourist Complex" project in Postavy.

The complex began its operation in August 2016 with the opening of a rope park. A rope park is a complex of obstacles and stages located between trees at a certain height.

Two routes of easy and medium difficulty levels are designed for different age categories. A zip line (trolley) has been installed, the longest in the Vitebsk region (160 meters). The complex features: a shooting range for air rifle and pistol, a climbing wall with three climbing surfaces, a children's glade with various sports attractions, a children's car with remote control. Boat, catamaran, and jet ski rentals are organized. A camper parking area for 6 vehicles is equipped. A comprehensive sports ground with artificial turf (for mini-football, volleyball) is functioning. Work on improving the territory of the Ozerki STC is constantly carried out. Guests can enjoy comfortable gazebos of various capacities for celebrating various events, "Grandpa Bay's House" and an equipped pier on the shore of Lake Beloye.

In 2024, the sleeping quarters of the Ozerki Sports and Tourist Complex were put into operation. 15 rooms for accommodation, 4 of which are of increased comfort and 1 room for people with disabilities, designed for 39 beds, are ready to welcome guests.

The building also houses:

• a hall for celebrations and events with the following technical equipment (multimedia ceiling projector, screen, Wi-Fi Internet, portable radio microphone, chairs, tables). The hall is a transformer, seating arrangement depends on the event format;
• a small meeting room: TV, sofas, tables.

A significant role in the physical development of the younger generation, health promotion, and the training of sports reserves belongs to the institution "Children and Youth Sports School of Postavy" (hereinafter - CYSS). The activities of the CYSS are aimed at ensuring the training process and improving the sportsmanship of students in the district.

The CYSS has four departments: volleyball, freestyle wrestling, football, and athletics. Enrollment of students is free of charge.

The school's sports facilities include a martial arts hall located at Krasnoarmeyskaya St., 30-1, Postavy.
