Lukashenko offers condolences on death of Silvio Berlusconi
Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko offered his condolences to the family and friends of the late Silvio Berlusconi, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
"It was with great sadness that the Republic of Belarus learned the news of the passing away of the former Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Italian Republic Silvio Berlusconi, whose name is associated with a number of important events for Italy and Belarus. Thanks to his personal contribution, the Belarusian-Italian cooperation received a strong impetus. He was a bright and talented person, a successful entrepreneur and a far-sighted authoritative politician who was able to assess a situation independently, make efficient decisions and be responsible for them," the message of condolences said.
The head of state stressed that Silvio Berlusconi will be remembered as a man of exceptional charisma and a patriot who contributed to the consolidation of Italian society and the strengthening of the country's international position far beyond its borders.
