We need patriotic education in schools, Belarusian President Aleksandr said as he talked to the media in Bobruisk on 1 September, BelTA has learned. "It is needed. We know that is needed, and we will do it. We are under-performing in this regard," the head of state said.

In an interview with RT TV channel Belarus' Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei commented on Lithuania's decision to build a border fence to deter migrants, BelTA informs.

Sporting achievements are highly important not only for athletes themselves, but also for the state, including in the political sense, Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko said at a solemn farewell ceremony for Belarusian athletes on the way to the Tokyo Olympic Games on 9 July, BelTA has learned.

On 8 July Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No. 265 “On amending decrees of the president of the Republic of Belarus” to improve the regulatory environment for foreign trade, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

Funds will be set up in Belarus to develop the national civil engineering industry.

Belarus will continue dealing with the main challenges on the border but will do it as it sees fit, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said at a meeting to discuss response to sanctions on 6 July, BelTA has learned.
