Taxes paid by Vitebsk Oblast major taxpayers up by 62%

VITEBSK, 29 May (BelTA) – In January-April this year, taxes paid by the biggest companies of Vitebsk Oblast to the budget rose by almost 62% compared with the same period last year, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Vitebsk Oblast branch of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties of Belarus. Over this period, the region’s biggest taxpayers transferred Br1,349 billion (49.9% of all taxes) to the budget. The tax payments by this category of taxpayers rose by Br516.4 billion compared with the same period last year. The growth rate made up 161.9%. The bulk of the taxes are excise duties (34.1%) and profit taxes (31.6%). The biggest taxpayers include Naftan, Vitebskoblgaz, Interservice, and Vitebsk Distillery Pridvinie. Taxes transferred by Naftan account for 17.8% of the consolidated budget of Vitebsk Oblast.
