Scientists from five countries to discuss problems of arterial hypertension in Vitebsk

VITEBSK, May 20 (BelTA) – Scientists from Belarus, Russia, Poland, Sweden and Greece will discuss arterial hypertension. They will take part in the 5th international conference which will be held in the Vitebsk State Medical University on May 21-22, BelTA learnt from Vladislav Podpalov, head of the therapy department of the Vitebsk State Medical University. Attending the conference will be more than 500 experts including famous researchers, physicians and students of the Vitebsk State Medical University. During the first day of the conference, its participants will discuss the arterial hypertension treatment and the Vitebsk oblast programme on fight against this disease. The experts will approve the new national recommendations for hypertension prevention. During the conference, Greek researchers will demonstrate the new medical device designed to diagnose atherosclerosis. The conference is held within the framework of the Belarus National Programme on Demographic Security.
