Opera singer Lyubov Kazarnovskaya to give concert in St. Sophia Cathedral in Polotsk

VITEBSK, 19 March (BelTA) – The world-renowned opera singer Lyubov Kazarnovskaya will give a concert in St. Sophia Cathedral in Polotsk as part of the International Festival of Ancient and Modern Chamber Music which will be held in Polotsk from 23 March to 11 May to celebrate the 1150th anniversary of the ancient city, BelTA learnt from Lilia Yemelyanova, chief of the concert department of St. Sophia Cathedral, a branch of the National Polotsk History and Culture Museum-Reserve. According to her, it did not take long to persuade the famous singer to come to Polotsk. She said she was excited to perform in such a unique concert hall which is the ancient temple. Lyubov Kazarnovskaya will give a concert which she described as “Roads of Love”. The concert is scheduled for 11 May. The International Festival of Ancient and Modern Chamber Music always arranges meetings with talented and extraordinary performers. The opening concert, which will take place on 23 March, will feature the Symphony Orchestra of the National State TV and Radio Company of Belarus. Among the guests of the Festival this year will be the music chapel Sonorus led by Alexei Shuta, Mikhail Glinka State String Quartet from Russia, State Chamber Choir of the Republic of Belarus led by Natalia Mikhailova and also musicians from Belgium, China, Japan, Italy, and Bulgaria.
