A cigarette at the cost of life

Everyone knows about the dangers of smoking to health. But only a few think about the dangers of smoking to life! Just a small cigarette butt can destroy all property accumulated over the years, and most importantly, people can die as a result of a fire! Do not underestimate the power of a small "parasite". It takes only 5 minutes of heat exposure from an unextinguished cigarette to bedding for combustion to occur. And then the fire develops according to the well-known scenario: "Drank, lay down, smoked, fell asleep, burned." Not only smokers can die from a cigarette. A common cause of fire is a cigarette butt thrown from a balcony, which safely flew into the apartment of the downstairs neighbors. In the best case, it will land on a non-combustible surface and damage the aesthetic appearance. But as a rule, there is a carpet on the floor, the windows are covered with curtains, and unnecessary things that "will come in handy in the household" are stored on the balcony.

And so, the culprit, without even suspecting it, often becomes cut off from the evacuation route due to smoke coming from the floor below. Thus, just one careless gesture caused a huge disaster. It is easier to teach a child the elementary: "Matches are not toys for children!" than an adult with a bad habit. After all, 90% of the causes of death in fires are careless handling of fire while smoking.
