The series of off-site meetings held by the standing committees on social affairs of the Vitebsk region's deputy corps continues.

A seminar for the deputy corps of the Vitebsk Region on the topic "The Social State – the Belarusian Model of Well-being" is currently being held at the Shumilino Central District Hospital.

The key theme of the current seminar-meeting is dedicated to the results of the "Our Children" and "From the Bottom of Our Hearts" charity campaigns. Initiated by the Head of State Alexander Lukashenko, these campaigns have for many years helped children and the older generation to feel care, attention, and the approach of a real holiday.

Gleb Lapitsky, a member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus and Director General of the state institution "Vitebsk Cultural Center", addressed the participants with a welcoming speech:

– We need such seminars to receive information firsthand from the leaders and heads who oversee our social sphere. Because the social state is the brand of the Republic of Belarus that can override any criticism and negativity that we sometimes encounter during personal receptions of citizens and during election campaigns.

And in order for us to be well-informed, we need to see for ourselves how the heads of structural units work on the ground and know the problems firsthand.

The second point is that local deputies should get to know each other better, so such meetings are a good idea and practice.
