Sergey Nikolaevich Meleshkin paid a working visit to Postavy District

Today, in the Postavy District Executive Committee, Sergey Meleshkin, a member of the Standing Commission of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus on International Affairs and National Security, a deputy of the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies of the 29th convocation for Ushachi electoral district No. 51, and the head of the "Vitebsk Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations" institution, held an on-site personal reception for citizens, their representatives, and representatives of legal entities. Afterwards, he met with the staff of the Postavy Central District Hospital.

— The main reason for all emergencies that happen to people is simple human carelessness. Many of those who managed to escape with a fright often admitted that at first they hoped for a simple "maybe it will pass," and later got used to everything working out, which actually led to a sad result, Sergey Nikolaevich began the meeting with the team.

Sergey Meleshkin then spoke about specific household emergencies and how panic and ignorance of fire safety rules exacerbated their consequences.

The topic of child injuries sharply came to the fore. On the eve of long weekends and upcoming holidays, parents forget about their important function — instilling safety in their children, because each of us has several moments in life when we were on the verge of an inevitable end to our future.

— If you do not plan to babysit grandchildren, live to old age, and do not wish peace and safety for your children, then you can safely not buy an autonomous fire alarm, said the head of the department, — because it is often the last hope and a ticket to tomorrow. It remains to make the right choice between the price of your own safety and a light snack in a cafe.

In addition to fire safety, other important topics were also touched upon. As a responsible citizen concerned about the prosperity of his country, Sergey Nikolaevich expressed concern about the attitude and views of young people towards their own lives. The aspirations and guidelines of twenty years ago are not comparable to the guidelines of the current generation, and these are the leaders who tomorrow must head structural units, so it is necessary today to address the issue of transferring experience and accumulated knowledge to the younger generation.

On the eve of one of the most poignant holidays of the State, the deputy of the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies of the 29th convocation congratulated all those present on the holiday, spoke about how our citizens appreciate the immeasurable contribution of the veterans of the Great Patriotic War to our development and the formation of Belarus as an independent state. He also urged everyone present to remember and help veterans not only on May 9th, but throughout all the years of their lives, and to honor the memory of all heroes who fell victim for the peaceful sky above us.
