From May 25 to June 5, the State Automobile Inspectorate will hold the special complex event “Attention, Children!”

In connection with the end of the school year and the beginning of summer holidays, to draw general attention to child road safety and increase the vigilance of drivers and parents, the State Automobile Inspectorate traditionally holds the special complex event “Attention, Children!” from May 25 to June 5.

During this period, vehicles must be driven with their low beam headlights on during daylight hours (clause 166.9 of the Traffic Regulations).

The State Automobile Inspectorate urges drivers to be extremely careful when driving near children's institutions, unregulated pedestrian crossings, public transport stops, and in courtyards.

Particular attention will be paid to preventive work with parents. Police officers will visit work collectives, explain the causes and consequences of road accidents involving children, remind them of the rules for safe transportation of minors, responsibility for traffic violations, and the need for a personal example of correct and safe behavior on the road.

During the event, traffic police officers will pay special attention to drivers' compliance with speed limits, rules for crossing pedestrian crossings, and safe transportation of children.
