From October 20 to 30, the State Automobile Inspectorate (GAI) is holding a nationwide preventive campaign "Don't be invisible on the road!"
Due to shorter daylight hours, lower air temperatures, and precipitation, road conditions may become more complicated. Rain, wet snow, and frost are expected today. In such weather, all road users must be extremely careful and cautious.
Drivers should avoid sudden maneuvers and be prepared for the sudden appearance of people on the roadway. Pedestrians must use reflective elements, cross the road only in designated areas, and ensure that all vehicles have time to stop.
To minimize negative trends in road safety, the State Automobile Inspectorate will hold the republican preventive campaign "Don't be invisible on the road!" from October 20 to 30. It is primarily aimed at preventing accidents involving pedestrians and cyclists and is designed to remind people of the importance of using retroreflective elements and high-visibility vests in the dark.
Throughout the country, traffic police patrols will be closer to accident-prone road sections and pedestrian crossings, monitoring compliance with traffic rules by pedestrians and cyclists, especially at night. Increased attention will be paid to those under the influence of alcohol.
Also, until October 30, the State Automobile Inspectorate is conducting a set of preventive measures to improve the safety of passenger transportation in irregular services (by buses and taxi cars).
Remember that everyone in the vehicle must be buckled up, and children must be transported in special restraint devices appropriate for their weight and height. Ensuring children's safety is an adult's responsibility. Instill safe behavior rules in them by personal example.
