In order to eliminate the causes and conditions of road traffic injuries and to foster mutually respectful relations among road users, the State Automobile Inspectorate is conducting a republican preventive action "Be Safe!" from July 19 to July 28, 2022.

Preventive measures are aimed at preventing road accidents involving cyclists and pedestrians, including those using personal mobility devices.

During this period, extensive coverage will be provided on safe behavior, especially at pedestrian crossings, and explanations of new amendments to the Traffic Regulations (effective from October 27 this year) regarding safe movement on bicycles and personal mobility devices.

To this end, State Automobile Inspectorate inspectors will visit labor collectives and children's health camps, and conduct large-scale preventive measures in areas frequented by cyclists and pedestrians using personal mobility devices.

Everywhere, State Automobile Inspectorate patrols will be positioned near uncontrolled pedestrian crossings. Additionally, traffic police inspectors will work on sections of roads and streets in populated areas most prone to pedestrian and cyclist collisions.

State Automobile Inspectorate officers will focus on preventing violations of the Rules by both vulnerable road users and drivers, especially at pedestrian crossings.
