From January 19 to 25, a large-scale preventive campaign "Cybersecurity Week" is being held in Vitebsk and the Vitebsk region.

Its goal is to improve digital literacy among the population and combat cybercrime, the level of which continues to steadily rise.

The relevance of such initiatives is confirmed by alarming statistics. In the first half of January alone, 11 reports were registered in the northern region from citizens who had fallen victim to cyber fraudsters. The total financial damage from these crimes exceeded 150,000 Belarusian rubles.
