"Time to become visible!" — under this title, events will be held aimed at preventing road traffic injuries involving vulnerable road users and minimizing negative trends in road safety.

As part of the campaign, outreach work among the population and in labor collectives will be intensified. Printed materials on the relevant topic will be placed in places of mass public attendance. A selective monitoring of retail outlets for the availability of retroreflective products for sale is planned. Special attention will be paid to sections of the street and road network where there is the highest risk of pedestrian collisions. Control checks of work will also be carried out.

In January-October 2019, 2750 road traffic accidents with casualties occurred on the territory of the Republic of Belarus: 395 people died and 2939 received injuries of varying severity. At the same time, 870 accidents occurred in the dark, in which 202 people died and 833 received injuries. Slightly more than 68% of the deceased are vulnerable road users: pedestrians, cyclists.
