To prevent fires and deaths from them, the republican campaign "Safety – to every home!" will be held in Postavy district from January 18 to February 19. The main goal of the campaign is to draw citizens' attention to the problem of fires and deaths from them, as well as to conduct mass outreach work among the population on emergency prevention.

Careless handling of fire, violation of the rules for operating stove heating and electrical equipment, and children's mischief with fire are the most common causes of fires. An analysis of the causes of fires shows that the culprits of most of them are the residents themselves, who neglect basic fire safety rules. And often carelessness turns into negligence.

The campaign will take place in 5 stages.

The first stage will begin on January 18 and last until January 22. This stage will be aimed at conducting preventive measures during OPOP meetings in one of the rural Soviets and at the psychological health center of the "Postavy Central District Hospital". At the first stage of the campaign, MES employees will pay special attention to working with individuals who abuse alcohol and lead an antisocial lifestyle. Preventive dialogues with representatives of prevention subjects, practical classes, thematic events "Sober look at safety", and interactive training platforms will be organized for them.

At the second stage, which will take place from January 25 to January 29, rescuers will show attention and care to elderly citizens and residents of rural settlements. The event will be held in the day care departments, at the State Institution "Postavy Territorial Center for Social Services". This stage will be filled with a number of new activities: interactive conversations "The Secret of Safety" and "Name the Price".

A very important audience is our youth, high school students and university students, on whom special emphasis should be placed. From February 1 to February 5, as part of the third stage of the campaign, rescuers will meet with students of secondary specialized educational institutions, as well as with graduating students of schools in Postavy. The following forms of work will be used during the event: conversations and game programs, quizzes, questionnaires and demonstration of educational videos, evacuation plan drills.

The target audience of the fourth stage of the campaign will be labor collectives. From February 8 to February 12, preventive measures will cover 3 organizations in Postavy district.

The final stage of the campaign will begin on February 15 and last until February 19. To reach a wider audience, events will be held in a place with a large crowd of people at the "Santa" shopping facility. The final events will be presented by interactive safety platforms, in which activists of the BMOSSP will take part.

Throughout the campaign, activists of the youth movement of rescuers-firefighters, students, and representatives of public organizations will take part with MES employees.
