From March 15 to 21, the State Automobile Inspectorate is conducting a set of preventive measures «Life is not a game. There will be no second chance!»

Since the beginning of 2021, 5 road traffic accidents involving children have been recorded in the Vitebsk region. Two children died, and 4 were injured.

From March 15 to March 21, 2021, the State Automobile Inspectorate of the Vitebsk region will conduct a series of preventive measures called "Life is not a game. There will be no second chance!". The main goal of these measures will be to prevent road accidents involving children, as well as pedestrians in general.

Traffic police inspectors will strengthen control over compliance with traffic rules regarding giving way to pedestrians at uncontrolled pedestrian crossings. Special attention will also be paid to the transportation of children in cars. Meetings on the topic of preventive measures will be held in educational institutions of the Vitebsk region.

On January 1, near the village of Zamostochye, Dokshitsy district, a "Skoda Rapid" and a "Mercedes" minibus collided. As a result of the accident, the driver born in 1981, who was driving the "Skoda", and a passenger born in 1984 were injured. Two children born in 2010 and 2013, who were in the car, died at the scene.

On the morning of March 2, in Vitebsk, at an uncontrolled pedestrian crossing on Maxim Gorky Street, a 60-year-old "Geely" driver hit a 16-year-old girl. The pedestrian was taken to intensive care.
