I am appealing to you for help: my daughter, Rita Yushkevich (born 06.05.2020), has a terrible fatal disease - spinal muscular atrophy type 2 (SMA type 2). SMA is a genetic, progressive disease in which neurons responsible for muscle function gradually die. Her intellect remains fully intact and corresponds to her age. Our youngest daughter (we have three minor children in the family) was diagnosed on December 20, 2021. Given the severity of this disease and its rapid progression, it was decided to treat her with Zolgensma. The cost of this drug is unaffordable for our family - 1,819,000 US dollars. Therefore, we are forced to knock on every door, hoping that someone will open it to us and our misfortune! I beg you for help! The fundraising has been going on for more than a year, but as of 21.05.2023, only 17.16% has been collected. Please, spread the information among organizations and media, give permission to place collection boxes and information leaflets about the fundraising in trade and service organizations. I sincerely hope that kind hearts will be found to help save our daughter. Supporting documents, a letter to the head, and a leaflet with details are attached.
