Republican fire prevention campaign "Don't burn your life away!"

From November 1 to 30, the republican fire prevention campaign "Don't Burn Your Life Away!" starts in Postavy region. Its goal is to draw attention to the problem of fires and deaths due to careless handling of fire while smoking.

The campaign will be held in three stages:

Stage 1 – November 1-12 – the campaign is held at industrial, agricultural enterprises and other organizations.

Stage 2 – November 15-25 – the campaign is held in secondary specialized educational institutions (lyceums, colleges), at day care departments at regional narcological dispensaries, and in safety centers.

Stage 3 – November 26-30 – the campaign is held in places with mass gatherings of people (in open areas), rural councils.

Unfortunately, carelessness while smoking is the undisputed leader in the number of fires. Most often, the culprits and victims of fire in such cases are citizens who abuse alcohol. Often, people in a state of alcoholic intoxication completely or partially lose control over their actions and deeds, which in turn leads to sad consequences. Often, a tipsy person throws unextinguished cigarette butts wherever they please, goes to bed with a lit cigarette, and does not think about the consequences at all. In most cases, this category of citizens, along with their own safety, endangers the lives of their loved ones, as well as people living nearby. Such incidents appear in the Ministry of Emergency Situations reports almost daily.
