The problem of protecting the population in case of an emergency deserves special attention. An emergency is always a real threat to people's lives and health. From March 2 to March 31, a republican campaign "Safety Day. Attention to all!", dedicated to World Civil Defense Day, is being held in our country.

Today, the main task is not only to prevent and eliminate the consequences of emergencies, but also to conduct outreach among the population on how to behave in such a situation.

Today, a notification system has been created in the country and, importantly, is being improved at the republican, territorial, local, and facility levels. Its main task is to timely convey information about all types of danger and about orders for protective measures not only to the population, but also to management bodies and forces of the State Emergency Service (state system for preventing and eliminating emergencies). Information is transmitted via voice messages on FM radio (first national channel) and television (Liner, Vector), via SMS messages to the population's mobile phones. Sirens are also activated, and vehicle signals and street loudspeakers are used.

First of all, to attract people's attention, the warning signal "Attention to all!" is given. You can recognize it by the sound of electric sirens and other signaling devices lasting 3 minutes. If you hear something similar at home, you should immediately turn on your radios or televisions. At this time, an emergency message is broadcast, which describes the emergency that has occurred, and provides all the necessary recommendations for subsequent actions.

If you are at work, turn off the equipment. Prepare the radio and television stations located in the notified area. Tell others about the received signal and prepare to listen to the voice information. Further behavior should be determined directly by these instructions.

No one would wish to witness such emergencies, but, unfortunately, it is impossible to give a hundred percent guarantee that this will not happen to you, so it is important to know how to behave in extreme circumstances. And most importantly, remember that your main enemy is panic, which most often leads only to negative consequences. Keep calm, clearly assess the situation and strictly follow all recommendations - then you will find a way out of the situation much faster!
