Together against violence

From April 15 to 26, the annual republican preventive campaign "Home without Violence" will be held in Pastavy region. Its main goal is to involve broad segments of the population in providing assistance and support to state bodies in solving the problems of domestic violence by applying individual crime prevention measures to individuals with antisocial behavior.

On the eve, a working meeting was held at the district executive committee with the participation of the district leadership, representatives of the departments of internal affairs, education, physical culture, sports and tourism, the central district hospital, the department of labor, employment and social protection, and the BRSM district committee to coordinate the campaign's activities. A joint plan for its implementation was approved.

In accordance with it, police officers will visit citizens who commit domestic violence at their place of residence and conduct preventive talks with them and their relatives. Domestic abusers will be summoned to meetings of public law enforcement councils. Also, police officers and other interested parties will speak in labor collectives of the city and district, and in the media on issues of preventing offenses in the sphere of family and domestic relations. In organizations and enterprises of Pastavy region, on stands in public places, informational leaflets will appear with an algorithm of actions for individuals who periodically become victims of domestic tyrants, and phone numbers to contact in case of domestic violence. Information about the campaign will be regularly broadcast on the "Pastavy-TV" channel, "Haryzont" market, bus and railway stations, and in "Rodny Kut" chain supermarkets.
