Prevention of offenses related to fuel theft at gas stations and vehicle parking lots using the "tank-to-tank" method!

In connection with the increased number of fuel theft incidents at gas stations and vehicle parking lots in the republic, the internal affairs bodies of the Postavy District Executive Committee have organized and are conducting targeted work to prevent and deter "tank-to-tank" fuel thefts.

Mobile groups have been organized to monitor gas stations and vehicle parking lots located in the Postavy district. Cooperation has been established with employees of the Belneftekhim concern, as well as with heads of enterprises, institutions, and organizations. Information has been provided on the need to immediately inform the Internal Affairs Department about any detected theft incidents.

It should be noted that Article 13.23 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus (Illegal circulation of petroleum liquid fuel in the Republic of Belarus), specifically Part 3 of Article 13.23 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus, provides for administrative liability for the acquisition, storage, use, or sale by individuals of colored petroleum liquid fuel, supplied in the established manner to organizations engaged in agricultural production, in the form of a fine ranging from 10 to 50 basic units.

Fuel theft incidents entail both criminal and administrative liability, depending on the amount of damage caused. Criminal offenses are punishable by community service, a fine, correctional labor for up to two years, or arrest, or restriction of liberty for up to three years, or imprisonment for the same term.
