Postavy. Visiting the Rescuers
Each child imagined that in the future they would be engaged in heroic work, that their profession would, without a doubt, save someone's health and life. Rescuers from the Ministry of Emergency Situations help children from health camps learn about this difficult but honorable work.
Since the beginning of summer, as part of the republican campaign "Holidays without smoke and fire!", children have been coming for excursions to the Postavy District Department of Emergency Situations, and employees, in turn, visit children in school camps, where they conduct preventive talks, games, and quizzes. The children can accurately name the numbers to call rescuers, how not to get lost in the forest, and how to behave near bodies of water. Rescuers constantly remind children about the basics of safe behavior at home, in public places, and on the street. To help children remember safety lessons well, firefighters show them thematic films and give them books and booklets.
One of the brightest summer memories was a close acquaintance with the daily life of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, where rescuers showed what fire trucks are equipped with, what hydraulic tools are for, and what a psychological obstacle course entails.
A small bonus of visiting the fire and rescue unit is the long-awaited coolness on a hot day.
Knowledge of safety rules, a whirlwind of emotions, and safe, unrestrained fun — this is what fuels children's summer holidays.
