Fire in Luchai village

On March 13, 2022, at 09:30, a report was received about a house fire in Luchai village, Postavy district. As a result of the fire, the ceiling and property in the house were damaged, and the walls were blackened. The cause of the fire is being established. The considered version of the cause of the fire is a violation of the rules for the installation and assembly of stoves, heat-generating units, and devices.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds:

- install heat-generating units in accordance with the documentation;

- the distance from the outer surface of the chimney to the rafters and other roof details must be at least 13 cm;

- the size of the furnace and smoke channel cut-out, taking into account the wall thickness of the furnace, should be taken as 38 cm, to building structures made of combustible materials.
