Postavy. Rescuers from the Vitebsk Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations conducted fire prevention work in the Voropaevsky rural council

To minimize the occurrence of fires in residential areas, and consequently, the loss of life from fire, employees of the Vitebsk Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations organized assistance in surveying categorized citizens and drawing attention to safety during spring grass burning.

The main emphasis during visits to residential buildings was placed on the necessity of installing autonomous fire detectors and their proper maintenance.

Employees also reminded residents about preventing smoking in homes, especially while intoxicated, as 90% of fire fatalities were smokers who were under the influence of alcohol.

In parallel with housing inspections, employees of the propaganda sector conducted preventive measures with young children from the Voropaevsky kindergarten, students from the Voropaevsky secondary school, and also visited "Dobronom" where they addressed important safety issues with regular store customers.

Special attention was paid to the national campaign "Safety Day. Attention to All!", within which residents of the urban-type settlement learned the algorithm of actions in case of receiving the "Attention to All!" signal.

The goals of the preventive measures were achieved: Voropaevtsy received consultations on safety issues in their homes and adjacent territories from MES specialists, learned about the consequences for those who burn dry vegetation, and which numbers to call to report emergencies.
