Postavy. A visit of safety, values, and care for the future

 

Today, Postavy District became the venue for a working visit by Sergey Nikolaevich Meleshkin, a member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus and head of the "Vitebsk Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations." The visit was rich and multifaceted, covering both official events and direct communication with residents of the region.

A key part of the working day was Sergey Meleshkin's participation in a meeting of the Postavy District Executive Committee. Here, pressing issues of district development were raised, as well as matters concerning the safety of citizens.

After the official part, Sergey Nikolaevich held an on-site personal reception for citizens, their representatives, and representatives of legal entities of the Voropaevsky Rural Council. During the meeting with residents of the region, topics of paramount importance to everyone were touched upon: the system of values and the importance of observing safety rules for the future generation.

"The main cause of all emergencies that happen to people is simple human carelessness," Sergey Nikolaevich emphasized, addressing the staff. He noted that many who managed to avoid serious consequences often relied on "good luck," and it is this habit of luck that often leads to tragic outcomes.

Sergey Meleshkin cited specific examples of emergencies that occurred in everyday life and clearly demonstrated how panic and ignorance of elementary fire safety rules can exacerbate the consequences. Special attention was paid to the topic of child injuries. On the eve of the upcoming holidays, when parents may relax their vigilance, Sergey Nikolaevich reminded them of the most important parental function – instilling safe behavior skills in children. He emphasized that every person in their life faces moments when the future hangs in the balance, and it is a conscious attitude towards safety that can prevent tragedies.

In addition to fire safety, Sergey Meleshkin also touched upon other important aspects of society. He expressed concern about the attitude and views of young people towards their own lives.

Sergey Meleshkin's working visit concluded with a visit to a healthcare institution – the Voropaevsky District Hospital of Postavy District. This served as a symbolic accent, emphasizing the importance of caring for the health and well-being of citizens, which is inextricably linked to ensuring their safety.
