Rescuers from Postavy, together with representatives of the Sharkovshchina District Department for Emergency Situations, are conducting preventive work in the territory of the Kozlovshchina rural council. Special attention is paid to the size of hearth plates, the serviceability of heating appliances, the presence and functionality of autonomous fire detectors, and the rules for operating electrical appliances.
– Life in the countryside has its advantages, but it also has minor inconveniences. The habit of stacking firewood in front of the stove, formed over years, can cause a fire, as the experts explained. After all, sometimes even a small spark is enough to start a fire, and a faulty chimney, which the owner has long ignored, becomes a "ticking time bomb" that can set a house ablaze like a matchstick, – shares her concerns one of the homeowners from the visited households.
The main message of the campaign is to prevent an increase in emergencies, and this goal is being achieved thanks to the coordinated actions of the rescuers.
