Postavy. About rescuers firsthand

Educational institutions in the city of Postavy are hosting the republican campaign "Safety Day. Attention Everyone!", during which children are taught how to behave in emergency situations, what can happen due to playing with fire, an unattended charger, and what to do if the signal "Attention Everyone!" is received.

During the event, the difficult work of a rescuer was also discussed, and the demonstration of the combat clothing of firefighter-rescuers was unexpected. Inquisitive minds asked interesting questions: "How much does such clothing weigh? How many people have you managed to save? How did you decide on such a calling and where do you go to study to become a rescuer?"

"You need to approach the choice of a future profession consciously, because almost every one involves responsibility for someone else's life," answered chemist-dosimetrist Sergei Alexandrovich Goroshko. "That's why I'm here." Further, students were told about the higher educational institution "University of Civil Protection of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus," where the training period is 4 years, and upon graduation, each cadet receives their first special rank "lieutenant of internal service." To reinforce and better visualize, employees of the Postavy District Department for Emergency Situations demonstrated films about the university's facilities and practical exercises there, which impressed many. They also talked about ordinary cadet life, where one can develop in various ways.

Following the stories and films by the rescuers, many were able to determine who they see themselves as in the near future, and also reminded themselves of basic safety rules.
