The Postavy District Department of Emergency Situations summarized its work for 2023 with the participation of Andrey Vladimirovich Gavrilenko, Deputy Head of the Vitebsk Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

During the meeting, reports from the deputy heads of the department on each area of activity were heard. Andrey Vladimirovich summarized the achievements of the department over the past year. He pointed out shortcomings and ways to prevent them in the future. Great attention was paid to upcoming tasks, as 2024 has been declared the year of quality improvement, which means that some things require a special approach, as the future of the country depends on everyone's responsibility.

Unfortunately, looking at the current fire statistics, there is an increase in the Republic, which indicates not only the unpreparedness of the population for severe frosts but also a basic disregard for fire safety rules. An autonomous fire alarm remains the last chance to wake up tomorrow.

People also die not only from fire but also from other factors, including in water. Special attention should be paid to citizens going out on the ice and a particular emphasis should be placed on preventing them from going out on it during its formation and melting.

He separately focused on issues of personnel provision for the unit, providing employees with rental housing, and conditions of service.

The topic of observing official discipline, legality, personal safety during emergency response, and maintaining the proper physical fitness and health of rescuers also did not go unnoticed.

Having prioritized, Andrey Vladimirovich thanked the personnel for their work, congratulated everyone on the upcoming holiday – Rescuer's Day, and wished good health to all employees and their families, success in their official activities, and fruitful work in the coming year.
