Postavy. Youth on Guard for Public Order

Golden autumn is in full swing. This means the heating season will begin soon. But who will help those who lack the strength to prepare for it?

As part of the "Youth for Safety" campaign, the Postavy District Department of the Ministry for Emergency Situations, together with volunteers from the Belarusian Youth Public Organization of Rescuers-Firefighters, comes to the aid of such citizens.

Clearing the yard of fallen leaves and dry grass, cutting down dry, unnecessary branches, and gathering construction materials is no trouble for young and energetic people. This work would take an entire day for an elderly person or a person with disabilities, but it took the team of activists only a few minutes.

As Vera Romanovna shared, she struggles to clean up the area on her own, but the unexpected visit from the rescuers greatly pleased her, and this day will remain in her memory as a warm recollection. The young people spent their time usefully in the fresh air, while a person in need received necessary assistance.

By their example, the youth organization of rescuers-firefighters showed respect for the "golden age" and people with disabilities, and also demonstrated that helping is not so difficult when done together.
