Through historical places

Through historical places

"How to spend time in a fun and useful way?" - this was the question asked by the rescuers of Postavy.

In the year of historical memory, employees of the Postavy District Department for Emergency Situations, together with their families, decided to visit the "Shunevka" memorial complex in Dokshitsy District. This place is very significant for the memory of Belarus. It is hard to imagine that almost eighty years ago, there were houses on the ruins of the foundation where ordinary people lived, who wished no one harm. As in Khatyn, those whose lives were cut short by the fascist executioners are immortalized here. However, Khatyn is not the only village whose fate was to fall to the flames of war. There are more than 600 such villages in the country.

These complexes serve not only to perpetuate the memory of residents who died at the hands of tyranny but also have an instructive character, so that we, the descendants, do not forget the horror of war and never give up the peaceful sky above our heads.

Also, our excursionists visited moose, bears, and bison in the "Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve." Meeting a wild animal in the forest is a great fear and risk. But if it is behind a fence, it does not pose a danger, and on the contrary, the animal's aggression is replaced by sympathy, especially if the visitor has something tasty in their hands. Here, on the territory of the reserve, they are protected, always fed, vaccinated, and supervised. And for us, ordinary onlookers, there is a unique opportunity to observe the behavior of an unpredictable animal without fear. In this situation: "The wolves are fed, and the sheep are safe."

The Saturday trip left no one indifferent, and everyone remembered this day in their own special way.
