LEISURE BY THE WATER

What is a summer vacation without swimming? It's just sadness. Especially when the sun is scorching, the cool water of a pond or river, lake or reservoir is so inviting, so tempting to dive into.

Diving in and swimming is good, even beneficial. But small things, which both children and adults often forget, can spoil all the fun.

Sad statistics show that in our country, about 200 human lives are lost annually while swimming. That is why the first condition for safe recreation on the water is the ability to swim.

A person who can swim well feels confident and calm in the water, and if necessary, can bravely help a friend in trouble. Unfortunately, recreation on the water is not always without accidents. And for safe recreation, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds: swim in specially designated areas.
