The Land Management Department of the Postavy District Executive Committee is a structural unit of the district executive committee.

In its activities, the department is guided by the laws of the Republic of Belarus, decrees, edicts and orders of the President of the Republic of Belarus, resolutions of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus, decisions of the regional and district executive committees, orders of the chairmen of the regional and district executive committees, the work regulations of the district executive committee, and the regulations on the land management service.

The main task of the Land Management Department is:

to implement the functions of state regulation in the field of land relations, protection and rational use of land in the Postavy district.

Main functions of the department:

1. Exercises state control over the use and protection of land, control over the conduct and quality of land management and land cadastre works.

2. Reviews materials on the withdrawal and provision of land plots, extension of land use terms, changes in the boundaries of administrative-territorial units, conducts additional approvals of these materials with interested parties if necessary, and submits them with a draft decision for consideration to the relevant local executive and administrative body.

3. Reviews in the manner established by law the appeals of individuals and legal entities on issues of land management and land use, conducts reception of citizens.

4. Verifies compliance by individuals and legal entities with legislation on land protection and use in the manner established by legislative acts.

5. Exercises control over the fulfillment of conditions for the allocation of land plots in terms of compensation for damages and losses of agricultural production.

6. Maintains the state land cadastre, forms a unified state database on the land resources of the district.

7. Ensures systematic identification of unused and irrationally used lands, submits proposals for their redistribution to the local executive and administrative bodies for consideration in the established manner.

8. Performs other functions provided for by law.
