Dear residents and guests of Postavy District!

We draw your attention to the need to observe safety rules when recreating near water.

We recommend swimming only in specially equipped places — beaches. There are four such places in Postavy District:

Permitted swimming areas

1. Beach on Lake Zadevskoye near Zelenaya Street, Postavy

2. Beach on the Myadelka River in the city park of Postavy

3. Beach of Lake Dubok, "Ozerki" tract

4. Beach of Lake Beloye, "Ozerki" tract

In these locations, the territory is landscaped, parking lots for vehicles are equipped, gazebos, trash cans, and toilets are installed. Divers from the Postavy Rescue Station of OSVOD have surveyed and cleared the bottom of foreign objects. On the beaches of the Myadelka River, Lake Zadevskoye, and Lake Dubok, there are swimming areas for children and lifeguards are on duty.

By decision of the Postavy District Executive Committee dated June 10, 2024, No. 714 "On the Prohibition of Swimming," the following places are designated where swimming is prohibited: in fire reservoirs, excavated ponds, quarries, technical and melioration canals, locations of dams, dikes, bridges, locks, and other hydraulic structures, backwaters located on the territory of Postavy District, as well as in the waters of rivers, lakes, and ponds located on the territory of Postavy District, as per the appendix:

WATERS of rivers, lakes, and ponds located on the territory of Postavy District where swimming is prohibited for citizens

(Appendix to the decision of the Postavy District Executive Committee dated 10.06.2024 No. 714)

1 Except for the beach area on the Myadelka River in the urban park of Postavy.

You can find more detailed information about the map of permitted swimming locations by following the link to Yandex.Maps or on the website of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus 112.by.

And a few basic tips to help prevent accidents while swimming. Most importantly, do not enter the water if you feel unwell or are under the influence of alcohol, and never swim alone. Under no circumstances leave children unattended, not only in the water but also on the shore of the reservoir. Also, do not show off your swimming skills or organize "who can hold their breath longer" competitions, engage in water games involving diving and grabbing other swimmers, or perform other actions that could lead to an accident.
