The Civil Registry Office is a structural unit of the Postavy District Executive Committee and is part of the Ministry of Justice system.
In general matters of its activity, the Civil Registry Office is subordinate to the Postavy District Executive Committee, and in matters of implementing state policy in the field of justice, to the Ministry of Justice.

The Civil Registry Office organizes appointments by prior arrangement and preliminary consultations, which can be conducted both in person and by phone 8(02155) 27132 daily during the working hours of the Civil Registry Office.

The person responsible for preliminary consultations and preliminary appointment scheduling, for working with citizens on the "one-stop shop" principle, is the Head of the Civil Registry Office Nesterovich A.F., in her absence – the Chief Specialist of the Civil Registry Office Gutor G.V.

The Civil Registry Office prepares certificates based on telephone requests for subsequent issuance to citizens upon personal application, tel. 8(02155)27132.

Those wishing to submit an application for marriage registration to the Civil Registry Office can familiarize themselves with the data on the number of accepted applications for marriage registration for specific dates in the office of the Head of the Civil Registry Office or by phone 8(02155)27132.

At the request of those entering into marriage, the Civil Registry Office performs marriage registration in a solemn setting on Sundays, according to an individual script, and also with a visit to the place of marriage registration. This form of registration is carried out upon concluding an additional agreement, in accordance with approved tariffs and within the established working hours of the Civil Registry Office, if the departure of a Civil Registry Office employee does not impede the activities of the Civil Registry Office.

Departure for marriage registration outside the Civil Registry Office premises is carried out within the administrative-territorial unit in which the executive and administrative body, of which the Civil Registry Office is a structural unit, is established and operates.

Partially preserved metric books of churches and cathedrals of Vileika, Disna, Sventiany counties of Vilna Governorate regarding birth, marriage, and death for the period from 1880 to 1943, previously stored in the archive of the Civil Registry Office of the Postavy District Executive Committee, have been transferred for permanent storage to the State Institution "National Historical Archive of Belarus" (Minsk, Kropotkina St., 55. http://niab.by/newsite/ ).
